Martin Allen leaves for Africa

20 Jan

It’s been another busy old week in JJ towers, with a number of projects up, up and away.

He’s tweeted, opinionated and now blogging his way to a new adventure, Martin “Mad Dog” Allen is on his way to Burkina Faso for the Charity Coaching for Hope . Over the past few months we’ve been lending a helping hand to Martin as he bids to publicise all the great work he does and quickly realised he doesn’t really need us!

We’ve never worked with someone so capable of shouting from the roof tops and the recent plaudits for his charity work and upcoming Pro FC challenge show how one man really can be a successful walking whirlwind. Not part of it yet? Check out Martin on Twitter @mad_dogmartin and you wont be disappointed.

Away from Burkina Faso and there are some new additions to the JJ team this week. Presenter and all round media guru Kath Melandri will be heading up our new Education and learning strategy, rolling out radio workshops near you, we’ll have some further news on work experience opportunities and how you can become involved in media soon.

While Jason Phipps, an executive producer with the likes of the Guardian and digital consultant, is busy fleshing out a very special podcast which kicks off next month. Speaking of which, there’s a football flavour to a new tri-media show which will also launch in February, details to be released soon, but if you can’t wait until then, let’s just say it involves Cabbies, a dressing room and plenty of opinions.

There’s also a welcome back this month to the team from BarmyArmyAshes we couldn’t have hoped for better coverage for Stuart and David and the cast of thousands across the globe, so many thanks to all those who picked up the phone, got on skype and argued for England .. or even the Aussies.

Whilst a welcome return to the Netball Court for Lisa as the Netball Pod begins to crank back into gear.

As per usual we’re beavering away on other projects we can’t possibly divulge, suffice to say, they’ll be worth it! Check out our Twitter page for all the latest social media news and podcast gossip, or our revamped website, which gets another fresh-lift on Monday. Until then.
